"So pray into the son, admit youre sins and damnation and pray for forgiveness in his name and you will be blessed."

Which of the the many "sons of God" mentioned in the Bible are you talking about?

Christianity was ruined forever by the Romans, who oppressed and tortured the people and books to fit into the empire's plan. There are now only fragments of what Jesus taught.

And it was schooling itself and situation not just "schooling in the bible" that lead the development of the US, and even that is marred by selective enforcement, chattel slavery and ethnic cleansing. There's plenty to pray forgiveness for - for our ancestors and for ourselves today, because we invade and murder en masse without justification.

Yeah those other people are the bad ones.

The US, and our chief beneficiary, should be a light unto the world, but we're hardly that. For us, even food is a weapon (esp since Nixon). Someday our food (livestock) and soil may turn on us for the way we treat it. The fear is already palpable.

Saying we believe then committing evil acts won't cut it in the end. What does Jesus say, they come running to him saying Lord, Lord?

Ha!

I don't mean to accuse the sincere.

Those words are pretty heavy, since it's so easy for all of us to be distracted by desire and fear:

"By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me."

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!'"
